TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: September 2026
1. ABOUT THESE TERMS
These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website and to general enquiries, bookings and communications with Silesia Automotive / Car Garage Crewe.
By using this website, submitting an enquiry or requesting a booking, you agree to use our services and website in accordance with these terms.
Separate terms may apply to the purchase of a vehicle, finance arrangements, distance sales or other specific services. Where separate terms apply, they will take priority in relation to that particular transaction.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
2. OUR BUSINESS
The website represents the automotive services and vehicle sales activities operated under the names Silesia Automotive and Car Garage Crewe.
3. WEBSITE INFORMATION
We aim to ensure that information published on this website is accurate and up to date.
However, website content is provided for general information and may occasionally contain errors, omissions or information that has not yet been updated.
Vehicle availability, workshop availability, specifications, prices and other information should therefore be confirmed directly with us before you make a significant decision or travel to our premises.
4. WORKSHOP BOOKINGS
A booking request submitted through our website does not automatically guarantee an appointment.
A booking is considered confirmed when we have accepted the requested date or otherwise agreed the appointment with you.
We may contact you to request further information about the vehicle, symptoms, work required or availability before confirming a booking.
5. ESTIMATES & QUOTATIONS
Any estimate provided before a vehicle has been fully inspected is an indication of likely cost and may change if additional faults, parts or work are identified.
Where reasonably possible, we will inform you before carrying out additional chargeable work that materially changes the agreed cost.
Online estimation tools are intended to provide an initial indication only and should not be treated as a final quotation unless we expressly confirm otherwise.
6. AUTHORISATION OF WORK
By authorising repair, servicing, diagnostic or other workshop work, you confirm that you have authority to instruct us to carry out work on the vehicle.
We will perform the work that has been agreed with you and may contact you where further authorisation is required.
Additional work will not normally be carried out without your approval where it would result in a material additional charge, unless immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety or has otherwise been agreed.
7. DIAGNOSTIC WORK
Vehicle diagnostics may involve investigation, testing, dismantling or the use of specialist equipment.
Diagnostic work does not always guarantee that a fault can be identified immediately. Complex or intermittent faults may require additional testing.
Diagnostic time may therefore be chargeable even where further work is required before a final repair can be recommended.
8. PARTS
Replacement parts may be new, manufacturer-approved, aftermarket or otherwise agreed with you depending on availability, cost and the work required.
Where a particular type or brand of part has been specifically agreed, we will aim to use that part or contact you if a suitable alternative is required.
Parts availability may affect repair times.
9. COMPLETION TIMES
Any estimated completion time is given in good faith based on the information and parts availability known at the time.
Completion may be affected by factors outside our reasonable control, including:
- Parts availability
- Supplier delays
- Additional faults discovered during repair
- Specialist work required
- Vehicle condition
- Events outside our reasonable control
We will aim to keep you informed where a significant delay occurs.
10. CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED PARTS
We may agree to fit customer-supplied parts at our discretion.
Where we agree to fit a part supplied by the customer, our responsibility for that part may be limited because we have not selected or supplied it.
This does not affect responsibility for the quality of the installation work that we perform.
11. COLLECTION & PAYMENT
Unless otherwise agreed, payment for completed workshop work is due when the vehicle is collected or before the vehicle is released.
We may require deposits or advance payments for certain specialist parts, large jobs or other work where significant costs must be incurred in advance.
Any deposit or advance payment requirements will be explained before payment is requested.
12. CANCELLATIONS
If you need to cancel or change a workshop booking, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Where we have already ordered non-returnable parts or incurred reasonable costs specifically for your booking, we may discuss those costs with you.
Any cancellation charge or retention of a deposit will only be applied where appropriate, fair and permitted by law.
13. VEHICLES LEFT AT OUR PREMISES
Customers should collect vehicles within a reasonable time after being notified that work has been completed.
Where a vehicle remains uncollected for an extended period, we may contact the customer to arrange collection and discuss any reasonable storage arrangements that may become necessary.
14. VEHICLE SALES
Vehicles advertised through our showroom are subject to availability.
Vehicle descriptions, mileage, specifications, features, photographs and other information are provided to help customers evaluate a vehicle but should be confirmed before purchase.
The purchase of a vehicle will be subject to our separate Vehicle Sales Terms, which we will publish separately from these general website terms.
15. LIVE VIDEO VEHICLE VIEWINGS
Our live video viewing service allows customers to view a vehicle remotely and ask questions about areas of interest.
A live video viewing is intended to assist a customer's assessment of the vehicle and does not replace any statutory rights relating to a subsequent sale.
16. PART EXCHANGE
Any preliminary part exchange figure provided before we inspect the vehicle is indicative only.
A final valuation may depend on factors including condition, mileage, specification, history, mechanical condition and the accuracy of information provided to us.
17. FINANCE INFORMATION
References to finance on this website are for general information only unless specific finance terms are provided separately.
Finance availability may be subject to status, eligibility, lender requirements and applicable regulatory arrangements.
We will publish any required finance disclosures separately where applicable.
