Car Garage Crewe is committed to providing a safe environment for customers, visitors and employees. Health & safety is a core part of how we run our workshop.

2. Workshop Safety

  • Only authorised personnel are allowed in workshop and ramp areas.
  • All technicians receive regular training in safe working practices.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is used where appropriate.
  • Tools and lifting equipment are inspected and maintained regularly.
  • Spillages, oils and waste are dealt with using approved procedures.

3. Customer & Visitor Safety

  • Visitors must follow staff instructions and remain in designated safe areas.
  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the workshop or reception.

4. Hazardous Substances

Oils, coolants, brake fluids and other hazardous substances are stored, handled and disposed of according to manufacturer guidance and local regulations.

5. Fire & Emergency Procedures

  • Fire extinguishers and first aid kits are provided and checked regularly.
  • Emergency exits are clearly marked and kept free from obstruction.
  • In the event of an evacuation, visitors must follow staff to the assembly point.

6. Reporting Concerns

If you notice any safety concern on site, please inform a member of staff immediately so that we can deal with it quickly.

7. Review

This Health & Safety Policy is reviewed regularly and updated when necessary to reflect changes in legislation, guidance or operating practices.
